~Redondo's new toy~
|
|
Finally after waiting for a few months, I've finally got my eos 400d from my father as promised by him as a gift (semua adek2 pun dpt hadiah sbb dia dah pencen). Pictures taken and uploaded here are the output of a magnificent camera manufactured by Canon and it lets me become a "pro photographer" although I don't intend to do this as a living. With this camera I hope that I can capture the essence and ambience of our everyday life and travels as close as we experienced it.
The first 9 pictures were taken using the various basic modes in the camera from potrait, close up to landscape.
The subsequent 6 pictures were taken using TV mode or Time Value mode with the shutter speed set at 1/200 and ISO of 200. The mode enabled me to freeze frame a certain action done by Qistinna ie she was jumping up and down in the living room. The picture of the faucet enabled me to freeze frame the water dripping down and freezed it in mid air.
Blog updated by Johann@Abang@Baba@Redondo
P/S: Thanks Ba for the camera, love from all 4 of us(hopefully soon enough)

I'm 38 weeks pregnant
|
|
| Quote: | Me
One sign pregnancy is nearing its end is a ‘show’ - when the mucus plug that has sealed the womb comes away (you may see it on the loo paper, or in your knickers). It happens because the cervix is ripening (opening very slightly). But it could still be a couple of weeks before your baby puts in an appearance. And for many women, a show doesn’t happen until they’re in labour – so don’t worry if you don’t have one.
My baby
The waxy vernix that has protected your baby in his watery world starts to disappear. Just a little remains to smooth his passage to the outside world. His weight gain now slows and you may even lose some weight before the birth. |
My Bump @ 38 weeks
This is where I'm going to give birth, InsyaAllah...
Last Sunday I went for hospital tour.. Baba & Qis pun teman skali I thought its really a tour (yela, dah nama pun hospital tour kan).. But actually, its just a group discusssion with mid-wive on type of pain reliefs, birth methods, hospital procedures, what to be expected, and bla bla bla (byk lagi la )...
The mid-wive brought us to a room at birth centre.. We have 2 options here whether to go to the birth centre or delivery suite.. Birth centre is for active birth where they have lots of equipment for pain relief i.e gym ball, birth pool, large cushions, bed, shower room, etc.. At birth centre, mid-wive will look after you and there will be no doctors unless emergency cases.. Where else the delivery suite is a normal labour room macam kat Msia tue.. and they have doctors to look after you..
The birth centre looks interesting though.. Here they recommend for you to do an active birth where you should move around during contraction rather than just lie in bed.. And birth pool sounds interesting too.. but do I dare to try it? Its kind of weird to deliver baby in a pool, isn't it? Or maybe I should try and use it as pain relief?? They said that getting in a pool of warm water is a good way to relax in labour.. Hhmm.. maybe I should try it.. Agak2 tak comfortable, baring atas katil jerla kan..
Now, the Braxton Hicks contractions has become more intense (have dificulty to sleep at night due to this).. And for d past 2 / 3 days nie tiba2 satu badan terasa lenguh and sakit yang amat sangat.. I feel like crying.. Tension..tension..

I'm 36 weeks pregnant
|
|
| Quote: | Me
Your baby begins to move downwards. The good news is breathlessness will lessen. The bad news is you’ll now feel uncomfortable down below – some mums say it’s as if a melon is about to fall out!
My baby
As your baby’s head sinks into your pelvis, it becomes ‘engaged’, meaning he is set for birth, and will not be able to rise out of the pelvis to turn any more. Your midwife will check how many centimetres of your baby’s head can still be felt above the pelvis. Once nothing can be felt, your baby is fully engaged. |
Last thursday I went for check up at the hospital.. I was 35 weeks pregnant at that time..
Now, I'm on my 36th weeks.. 4 more weeks to go.. huhu..
The mid-wife checked my blood pressure & urine.. Listening to baby's heart beat and examine my stomach.. According to her, everything looks fine.. Alhamdulillah..The baby is on head-down position already, getting ready to go out i guess ..
I'm a bit frustated coz they didn't do any scan last week.. I was hoping that they'll do the scan coz I wanted to know the sex of our baby.. The last time I scanned, the mid-wife couldn't confirm 100% the sex of our baby.. First she said it looks like a girl, then she said could be a boy, then a girl again.. Last2 she advised 'don't buy all pinks'.. I guess we just have to wait and see then, whether its gonna be a girl or a boy.. Surprise..surprise...
I'm getting more tired and tired everyday.. This pregnancy is more tiring as compared to my first one.. But less sickness (thank you for that!!) i.e. backache, headache or leg cramp.. Had trouble sleeping at night obviously and need to get up and go to the toilet quite often (hate this part!!). Its not easy to get up nowadays you know..
Baby moves alot especially at night.. Don't think he/she has much space to move now.. He/she likes to kick when Qistinna is lying down on my tummy.. Wants to play with your sister eh??
Rasa macam anytime soon jer.. I feel huge and uncomfortable.. Hopefully our baby can wait until my parents and sister & family comes next week.. Baby duduk diam2 dulu dalam perut ye..

Azrai's Farewell
|
|
Azrai's farewell dinner @ Bali-Bali Restaurant..
Since its a working day, I had to meet Baba in Central London coz the dinner starts at 7pm (tak sempat Baba nak balik pun).. Took a bus to Piccadily Circus (luckily there is a bus going straight to Piccadily Circus).. From there Qistinna & me walked to Leicester Square.. I had to put the harness & reins on Qistinna for safety reason, coz its a rush hour.. Ramai giler orang.. Takut Qistinna berlari jer.. (fyi, i didn't bring stroller coz si kenit nie tak nak duduk dlm stroller dah ).. Lepak at Leicester Square park while waiting for Baba.. Baba arrived around 6.45pm and off we go to Bali-Bali..
Azrai was on secondmend here.. He has finished his 18 months term and its time for him to go back.. Azrai & family is going back on friday.. Till we meet again in Malaysia..

A tiring weekend
|
|
No idea on where to go, so as usual off we go to the park... Since todays temperature is between 25C-27C.. very nice weather..huhu.. so, better take this opportunity to go out.. Soon i'll be stuck at home for 40 days of pantang.. *sigh*
We took a bus and stopped at Lancaster Gate.. From there we walked to Hyde Park.. Took some photos at The Fountains and Peter Pan Statue.. Continue our walk until we reached Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain... What a nice place to chill... It has a fountain where u can put your legs in.. But the water was so colddd.. Qistinna takut nak letak kaki kat dalam air tue.. apada... But she was happy coz i let her run around with shoes off..
Before heading home, we stopped by at Malaysian Hall.. Kononnya nak beli paru goreng tapi tak jual la pulak arinie.. Frust betul... Layan minum teh tarik and pisang goreg jerla..

Little Venice, London
|
|
Date: 3rd May 2008
Venue: Little Venice, London
Event: Canalway Cavalcade
Another long weekend, yesss!! Normally long weekend, we will take this opportunity to travel.. But since I'm 36 weeks pregnant, I couldn't fly anywhere (no airlines will allow me to fly anyway )... Road trip wouldn't be a good idea too.. Nanti tiba2 emergency, naya jer..
So, I browse through websites looking for any interesting event in London.. There were a few events being held during this long weekend and we decided to go to this Canalway Cavalcade event at Little Venice since its nearer to our house.. After all, we've never been to Little Venice before..
There were lots of activities going on over there i.e. flea market, boat parade, boat decor competition, kids activities, etc.. Its kind of nice to hang out by the canal.. Although the temperature is between 22C - 25C, but since its next to the canal, the weather is rather cool actually..
Ni gambar Qistinna dalam one of the boat, tengah khusyuk melukis (more like menconteng actually ).. Kids can choose to decorate a bag, mask or badge (they give it for free ) Lama juga Qistinna menconteng, sampai tak nak balik.. After a few attempts to ajak Qistinna balik, tapi tak berjaya.. Terpaksa jugala minta tolong Baba.. Baba pun tak bejaya pujuk.. Last option, Baba had to carry her out from the boat and punyala meraung dia.. Marah sangat la tue..

~Finding Tulips~
|
|
Our mission this week is to find tulips (before its too late coz the season is almost over)..
Venue: Holland Park (wanted to go to St James Park actually, tapi tak larat nak jalan jauh2 dah )
There were so many colourful tulips and its really really beautiful.. I lourveee tulips.. Too bad we missed tulips season when were on holiday in Holland last year.. But Baba promised that we will go there again with main purpose to see tulips at Keukenhof (perhaps next year)
After taking lots and lots photos of tulips, we then hang out at field and playground to let Qistinna play.. Gosh, there were so many people there.. I guess people wouldn't want to miss the hot weather after months and months of cold/rainy/gloomy weather.. To tell the truth, the weather today was a little too hot.. Berpeluh jugala..
